An avid Mario fan and music lover spent months to craft a Super Mario World guitar made out of 10,000 lollipop sticks. The sticks were individually dyed, cut, trimmed, and measured to create the Mario themed image.Reported by Nintendo Life, YouTuber Cranmer Guitars shared his work of art on his channel, going into detail about the process of making the Super Mario World lollipop stick guitar. As you can imagine, this was a pretty involved process and took the creator seven months in total to accomplish. In his video, the creator shares that it took around three months just to cut and shape all of the lollipop sticks into 29,000 pixels that would be used for the design.
From there, he used a vacuum chamber to dye all of the sticks to the appropriate colors. Then it was time to begin the guitar itself — which was done by dividing the Mario themed design into grids of 100 pixels each.
Once each grid was assembled and held together with a lot of glue, it was then sanded down and the individual grids were glued together. After some more measuring, sanding, and gluing, the design was completed.
With the body finished, the remaining lollipop sticks were then used to create the neck of the guitar, and then the whole thing was put together. You can check out more from Cranmer Guitars’ on their YouTube channel.
