PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – Console Design Images
The only major design difference (so far) between the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition is the obvious lack of a disk drive and the button used to eject disks. The Digital Edition is thinner as a result.
The back of the console and the disk drive side of the PS5 haven’t been shown.
Can the PS5 Be on Its Side?
Yes, the PS5 can be on its side. The PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition were both revealed as towers, like past systems, a screenshot shows that the PS5 can be put on its side with the disk drive on the bottom.
It’s unclear whether or not the stand is needed, nor is it clear if that stand is the same one the PS5 uses when it’s vertical.
The PS5 Digital Edition can also be put on the same side.
This information will be added as soon as its announced.
