There are several things you can do as soon as you return from the Title Screen, but the Legendary Quest and Battle Tower are the biggest in terms of content.
A post credits scene hints at something stirring in the Slumbering Weald. Head to the shrine you discovered to start this mission!
Get the Master Ball
Back at home in Postwick, step into the kitchen as a guest arrives. Professor Magnolia will enter and hand you a Master Ball. This ball will catch anything you throw it at. This is the only one you get, make it count!
How to Get Charmander
Go inside the home of Hop and Leon in Postwick and head upstairs. In Leon’s room you’ll find a standard Poke Ball on the ground. A letter attached to it explains it’s a Charmander for you to keep. Thanks Leon! This Charmander can turn into a Gigantamax Charizard, too!
Learn the Move Steel Beam
The man in the lower parts of Motostoke will teach eligible Pokemon the move Steel Beam now that you’re the Champion. To get there, start from the Pokemon Center at the upper level, go down the south path (the one where you walk through a turning cog), and go down the metal stairs to an area with cargo crates.
Get the Beast Ball
Another congratulatory reward for becoming Champion awaits you in Stow-on-Side. Talk to the merchant on the right to get a Beast Ball.
Find All the Rare League Cards

Obtain the Oval Charm
Now that you’re champion, head to the hotel in Circhester and enter the first door on the left. Talk to the police officer who will reveal himself as GAME FREAK’s Morimoto.
Defeat his team of six powerful Pokemon to obtain the Oval Charm. The neat item is automatically applied and will increases likelihood of an egg being produced at the Nursery.

Get the Catching Charm
Head to Circhester. Enter the hotel on the left, and use the elevator to go to the rooms. Enter the last room down the hallway on the left. Inside, talk to the doctor in this room – he’ll give you a Catch Charm. This charm automatically applies and increases your chance of landing Critical Captures. Crit Captures occur when you capture a Pokemon and it captures after just one shake – it will wiggle in the air before doing this.
Get the Shiny Charm
To get the Shiny Charm, speak to the same man in the Circhester hotel who gave you the Catching Charm. Once you’ve filled out all 400 pages of your Pokedex, he’ll give you the Shiny Charm, which increases the chance you’ll find or breed a Shiny Pokemon. See our List of Pokemon Locations (Pokedex) for help catching every Pokemon in Sword and Shield, and How to Get Shiny Pokemon for more on Shiny Pokemon.
Make Money Fast
Watch the video above to see how to use a Gigantamax Meowth to earn $350,000 in 20 minutes without fail in the post game. See How to Get Money Fast in Pokemon Sword and Shield for more details.
How to Get Type: Null
Head inside the old Rose Tower building in Wyndon and walk over to the left side of the lobby. Talk to the girl near the Type: Null and she’ll give it to you for free! She’ll also give you memories which can help its evolution Silvally change its type. What a pal!
Rewatch the Credits
Did you like the credits after you became champion? Well, you’ve got the opportunity to watch them again by heading to Hulbery City and speaking to the man near the lighthouse. He’ll ask you twice if you want to hear the Maximizers play again and hey, he’s not playing around. Agreeing to it will force you to watch the credits, no option to skip!
