I’m working on a title as a core member. I hope the title won’t be cancelled.

Masahiro Ito worked on the original 1999 Silent Hill as a monster and background designer and went on to become art director for Silent Hill 2 and 3. One of the more recent games he worked on was Metal Gear Survive as a creature designer in 2018.His current Twitter bio states he is still a freelance artist which he directs one Twitter user to look at when asked if he still worked for Konami. So while key on this new project, it seems unlikely he’s been brought in as a full time staffer to a studio yet.
Though Ito has yet to confirm what his next job is, he’s not the only well-known Japanese game developer sort of in-between jobs. Ikumi Nakamura, the meme-worthy creative director of Ghostwire Tokyo, unexpectedly departed developer Tango Gameworks back in September. Death Stranding director Hideo Kojima also recently teased his next project, although in true Kojima fashion, there wasn’t much to go on.For more creepy info on Silent Hill, legendary game hacker Lance McDonald has been breaking into P.T revealing terrifying unused secrets, Norman Reedus, and even the greater world of Silent Hills.
