has been delayed due to the current outbreak of coronavirus.Publisher Private Division tweeted a statement saying The Outer Worlds would be delayed due to the impact of the coronavirus on the team at Virtuos, which is working on the port. The tweet is followed up with another clarifying that everyone on the team is healthy but they are keeping the office closed, likely for preventative action.

The good news is, aside from keeping employees safe, there’s another silver lining to this delay. A physical version of The Outer Worlds looks to be released on cartridge for Switch owners, which is especially useful for those running out of memory card space.
Only last week we learned the release date for The Outer Worlds’ Switch version would be on March 6 of this year. Private Division stated it would update this date shortly, once the team can determine a new timeline.
