A Total War Saga: Troy will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year. In August 2021, the game will be available “on other digital PC storefronts such as Steam.”
Heaton said this free offer is exciting because it gives players who haven’t played a Total War game before the chance to dip their toes into the series for free.“Not only does this mean that we can bring the tales and legends of Troy to a wide audience through Epic’s massive platform, but it also means new players will get to try Total War for the first time, experiencing the unique gameplay that the series is famous for,” Heaton said.
Sega describes A Total War Saga: Troy as an “award-winning marriage of grand turn-based strategy and spectacular real-time battles.” Players will play as Achilles, Hector, and others to defend or destroy the city of Troy during the historical Bronze-Age conflict.
